Medicine Service
Each medicine team is made up of one resident from each PGY level. Junior residents (PGY1 and PGY2) take turns admitting patients from the ER, working a full 12-hour shift alongside their PGY3 resident. Each resident is allowed one day off per week.
Pediatric Service
The inpatient pediatric resident team consists of one junior resident and at least one senior resident. Call shifts last for 12 hours, from 7 AM to 7 PM. Residents take turns being on-call for admissions each day, while the night float team handles nighttime admissions.
OB/GYN
PGY-1 residents are responsible for covering the Labor and Delivery inpatient service in 12-hour shifts, either during the day or at night, for a duration of 5 days.
