Below are the requirements for all applications:

• Graduate of any WHO Medical School recognized by the California Medical Board

• Successful passing of USMLE / COMLEX exams

• If available, USMLE Score 210 or higher, COMLEX 420 or higher

• 2-3 letters of recommendation

• U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident

• Medical School graduation within 5 years of applying for residency or sufficient work experience post graduation without significant gap

Competitive applicants generally have the following characteristics:

• Successful Passing of USMLE / COMLEX Exams in first attempt

• If available, USMLE score of 210 or higher, COMLEX 420 or higher 

• Excellent standing reflected in Dean's Letter and/or MSPE

• Being in the top 25 percentile of the class 

• Relevant clinical work within the last 2 years

• Interest in working with under-served and multi-cultural populations

• Impressive lived experience, willingness to collaborate, and strong emotional resilience
